Unthoughtful Words

For the words which were spoken.

The ones which were unkind.

For I knew not of your hardships.

And I knew not of your difficulties.

Even though I have been taught,

To not judge or to be sarcastic.

For I knew not of your place in life.

And for that I truly plead thy forgiveness.

With all my mind and with all my heart,

I am so truly sorry and I’ll try,

With all my effort, thought, and being,

To be more kind, unto you and all others.

For you have given me a higher standard.

For you are my idle and I shall follow thee.

For you have shown me how to live as God would live.
