Gave He

Gave He to us,

The bright sun of day.

The dark clouds of rain,

Hot summer days.

The snow capped mountains

And the yellow filled prairies.

Gave He to us,

Birds of the sky,

Fish that can fly,

And friends, for us, that die.

Gave He to us,

Families that care,

Friends that wont stare.

Companions that love,

As two turtle doves.

Gave He to us,

Picnics in parks,

Trees with golden bark,

And large blue sharks.

Gave He to us,

His only begotten,

Who gave his life,

So you and me can be,

Just like He.
